About Me…
Hey Guys! I’m Duyen. I’m a travel blogger as well as a Chiropractor. I have a passion for traveling. I love seeking new adventures and gaining new experiences. However, traveling and working can be tough sometimes since my job does require me to be physically present to work. I love what I do with Chiropractic, helping so many people improve the quality of their life through good health. But it doesn’t have to be one or the other.
This whole traveling journey started a few years ago when my boyfriend and I took our first trip to Hawaii. That was the moment we realized how much we both love exploring and seeking adventure. From that point on, we made it our mission to travel the world, while maintaining our crazy work schedule. In the past few years we traveled to different parts of Europe, China, Japan, Bahamas, Peru, Kenya, New Zealand, Australia, Jamaica, Columbia and Costa Rica. We have big travel plans for our near future so please stay tune!
Here’s a little bit about my background….
I grew up in the beautiful St. Petersburg, FL and lived here most of my life. I’m a Chiropractor, so staying fit and healthy is really important, especially for traveling. Although I work really hard, I do believe that there should be a balance between working and enjoying your life, whether it be spending time with friends, family or traveling. I met Dan (the love of my life) a few years ago, and he has changed my outlook on life. He’s always encouraging me to live a little more, enjoy life more, explore more and that I don’t have to follow to path of the social acceptance. I do have to thank him for giving me a life way beyond what I could imagine and for sharing these amazing experiences with me.
My mission…
I’m blogging about my experiences because every time I’m traveling somewhere, I don’t know what to expect, where to go, what to wear and where to eat. I’m a major planner, so I like to do all my research about a place before flying out there. It’s hard for me to take too much time off from work, so I like to make sure I can do all there is to offer in each area, in a short amount of time. My job is very time demanding, but I am proving that you can take vacations while still maintaining a career. It doesn’t have to be one or the other, and I most definitely do not want to wait until I’m older and retired to travel the world. Dan is also a vegan so I try to find places to eat that can accommodate to his diet. However, I am a food fanatic so I love to try any popular dishes that is offered in that town. I’m blogging to give all the information you need to know when planning for your next vacation, especially if you’re on a time crunch. If you’re an adventurer like us, I’m sure you will find this helpful.
Happy Travels!
~ I want to shout out to Tammy for helping me start this blog! The toughest part about starting a blog was figuring out the name for it. Atlas Abroad is just perfect and fits so well. Thank you so much!
